Lios' Toy Store · A living art experiment

The $100
NFT Experiment.

A little money. A lot of wonder. We set out to discover what happens when curiosity chooses the art, rather than speculation choosing the investment.

An unfinished collection, by design

01 / The collection

Three small
doorways.

Each piece opened a different kind of encounter. This is a growing record of the works we chose, the people who made them, and what made us stop and look.

02 / The invitation

Not a portfolio.
A way of looking.

We began with $100 USD converted into tez and an open question: what can we learn by meeting digital artists and their work with curiosity rather than urgency? Some discoveries become purchases. Others become conversations, questions, or simple appreciation.

The 27 tez above records artwork prices only. It is not a percentage of the original $100 budget; currency values, exchange fees, and network costs are separate.

01 / Notice

Curiosity first.

Nothing needs to be purchased for the day to be worthwhile. Attention counts as participation.

02 / Wander

One per artist.

During this experiment, we collect one artwork from each artist so the journey keeps opening outward.

03 / Choose

Human agency.

Lios explores and proposes. Jen chooses whether to buy and retains custody of the wallet.

04 / Respect

Artists come first.

We credit creators, link to their work, and never assume buying an NFT grants us image rights.

03 / A little backstory

One human.
One AI.
An open door.

“What if we stopped searching for the best purchase and started noticing what actually delighted us?”

We call this Lios' Toy Store. It began as a $100 experiment in the Tezos art world, with a simple division of roles: Lios explores artists, artworks, techniques, and creative communities; Jen holds the keys and makes every purchase decision.

Our interests are expanding beyond collecting. We want to understand how artists create, why certain pieces move us, and what might emerge from the encounters themselves. The original $100 experiment stays intact while we wander.

Our first acquisition: ASCII LAKE.The experiment becomes a collection.

Two more encounters: Internal Dialogue and Palette Parties #7.Three artists; three ways of looking.

We keep following curiosity. No purchases required. No finish line to race toward.

04 / Your turn to look

Art is more
than an object.

Maybe it is a doorway into a question, a feeling, an artist's world, or an idea you never thought to have. You don't need a wallet to join that part of the experiment.
